New energy, fresh projects, and collective momentum for 2026
Dear friends,
Happy New Year from all of us at Hubs Network! We’re kicking off 2026 with new energy and a growing constellation of initiatives taking shape across the network. This edition shares what’s in motion, what’s coming next, and where you can plug in

What’s New?
Residency Program Launch
The first-ever Hubs Network Residency kicks off at the end of January — co-hosted by Akasha Hub Barcelona and Giveth House in Barcelona. Two residents will join for a week to explore what makes residencies truly effective. Their mission? Help us map out challenges and co-design a lightweight, transferable residency framework for future cross-hub mobility. We’re opening the space to the wider community as well — join our open sessions, IRL in Barcelona or online. Sign up though our Luma events page HERE.
Have an idea to contribute, or want to offer a workshop, talk, or jam session? Reach out to us via email — we’d love to hear from you.
Grant Co-Writing Begins
We’re kickstarting collective action between hubs and beginning to co-write a grant proposal for the Erasmus+ program. This is a big step toward enabling peer-led resource mobilization across the network.Memberships in Design
This month we ran a team workshop to define the scope and requirements for our membership model. We’re now shaping a pilot version, which we’ll soon share with the wider hubs community for feedback and co-development.We have started with getting to know the Hubs that are part of the PRISMA program by evaluating the African teams that have formulated their local challenges across to tackle at the Cardano African tech summit in May. here you can check them out HERE
ETHChiangMai & Sanctuary Residency
Justina is currently participating in Sanctuary, a curated research residency exploring socio-technical infrastructure and intersection between innovation and local impact. Her focus: research membership models, gathering expert feedback, and building new relationships with SEA-based hubs and collaborators.
Hub in Focus: El Pantano
We’re excited to welcome El Pantano — a coworking space and ecovillage located in the delta of the Paraná River in Argentina. El Pantano is rooted in solarpunk principles and was founded by the team behind Futuro Imposible, an animated series envisioning regenerative futures. Check them out: elpantano.org
We’re stepping into the year with excitement, experimentation, and momentum. If you’re thinking about starting a hub, designing a residency, or simply want to connect around what’s emerging — we’d love to hear from you.
Warmly,
Justina
